Veloster Turbo Variable Exhaust Sound

Hyundai Veloster turbo Variable Exhaust (stock exhaust processed)
& Remote controller for adjustment of exhaust sound

Have you ever heard about the variable resistance in the exhaust? In Korea, the trend of car tuning is changing and the variable resistance exhaust is one of them. The merit of this variable exhaust is that you can change exhaust sound by simply pushing button of remote controller in your car.

In city driving or when you drive your car in your apartment, you'd better set the car in silent mode. Or you can let your car roar around street in loud mode.

But the point is, this Variable Exhaust system is expensive! Here in Korea, it depends on the tuning shop, the usual asking price starts from 1400$. Due to this high price, many potential consumers hesitate to pay on the products.

Considering these circumstances, new type of variable exhaust (original exhaust processed with variable valve) was released. Let's name it Original type variable exhaust. This original type variable exhaust is reasonably cheap.

Price range is about 450~500 USD.

This work is very simple. After making a hole on the middle exhaust pipe, weld a variable valve. It's all. But the problem of this type is discharging of exhaust emission under the car. that is likely to entail a increase in Flow around Exhaust Ducts of Flue Gas and I am sure no one wants to make him(her)self sick by breathing in emission.

This is improved type of Variable exhaust system. Instead of releasing pollutants under the car, this system discharge exhaust gas through the end muffler tip.

This is newly developed variable valve which is used in the picture up here.
Let's enjoy the exhaust sound of Hyundai Veloster Turbo.

  1. Hello,

I have a Veloster Turbo and am interested in a set up like yours. I've been told it can't be done because the computer will catch it and cause the engine light to come on. Have you tested this 'variable exhaust at WOT (wide open throttle) and regular driving? Did the car throw any codes or engine light come on at all?

I'd rather do this than have a full exhaust. And am waiting for your response.

    Thank you.
